As Soon as We Have Details on an Open Date, We'll Post them Here!

We hope to be open sometime this winter. We don’t have an exact date because our brewery/taproom building is still under construction. Once the building is up, our head brewer will be learning a brand new brewing system, scaling up her beer recipes, and brewing all the beers. We have very high quality standards when it comes to our beers, and we refuse to put a product out there that falls short of those.

We are more than happy to discuss hosting your event or reserving space for your party, contact us at [email protected] or call ********

Taproom

Absolutely! We will fill 64 oz., 32 oz, and 750 ml growlers you bring into the taproom. We do, however, reserve the right to inspect the glass for cleanliness. We will also likely have BJBC-branded growlers available for purchase.

We are currently working on our membership club, which we plan on calling the Lumber Mug Society. We anticipate offering different levels/options to our customers with different interests and needs. We’ll keep you posted on these as they develop further!

We have swag available online at shop.boulderjctbrewingco.com and we will have swag available in our taproom when we open

General

We want BJBC to be a place where everyone can find a beverage to quench their thirst. While the current state laws won’t let us serve any alcoholic beverage except those that we brew on premises, our goal is to eventually be able to offer wine and cider to customers who prefer those. In the meantime we will have other beverages available if beer is not your choice that day, including non-alcoholic beer, craft and canned sodas, hop teas, kombucha, and seltzer water.

Taproom

While we will not have a full kitchen on premise, our taproom will offer a variety of snacks and pre-prepared foods to our customers.  We certainly plan on engaging the growing Northwoods food truck circuit when we can. You are welcome to bring in your own food from home or carryout from our local restaurants –  a picnic in the beer garden on a lovely summer day sounds like a great idea!

Taproom

Yes, kids are allowed! Families are definitely welcome. We do ask that children behave and don’t run around unattended – it’s a safety thing. Plus we’re just around the corner from the fantastic Boulder Junction Community Playground, so if the kids need to run off some energy, that’s a much better (and safer) place for them to do it.

Taproom

Leashed, well-behaved dogs are allowed in our beer garden and our tap room. If you know your dog doesn’t get along well with others (dogs or people) then we ask you to please leave them at home while you’re enjoying your time with us.

The town of Boulder Junction exists today because of the railroad. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, the large white pines and untouched forests drew the attention of logging companies, which built railroads to get their lumberjacks up north and then move the lumber back south. As the logging industry began to fade, tourism began to thrive as people from Chicago, Milwaukee, and other cities discovered the natural beauty of the Northwoods. Resorts and summer camps began to spring up, and without a reliable highway or road system, the train was the best way for tourists to make their escape to the wilderness. The final passenger train left Boulder Junction in 1930, but by then the automobile had become a viable means to travel up here, which meant the tourism industry could continue to flourish in the area. While there are no train tracks left in Boulder Junction, many of the snowmobile trails, ATV trails, and back roads trace the same paths traveled by the iron horses of the turn of the century. We find it fitting to honor the impact of the railroad and trains on our community through the Boulder Jct. Brewing Co. logo.

Initially our brews will be available on draught in the taproom and to-go in cans. We do have plans to work with other restaurants and bars in the area to offer our beers on tap when you are out enjoying those establishments, so we can all look forward to that.

Beer

We plan on offering a wide range of beer styles, so hopefully everyone will be able to find something to their taste! Initially we will have several styles in the ale family, like Amber, Pale Ale. IPA, Cream Ale, Brown, Stout, etc. Eventually we will brew other styles, such as lagers and specialty beers, as these typically take longer to brew and perfect.

Beer

Yes! Let BJBC be the place you come to hang out and root on the Packers with your friends! And perhaps have a beer or two. While we won’t have TVs on all the time, we believe that sporting events are a great way to bring people together, enjoy the community, and have some fun.
