Iron Miner’s Wife Grisette
Belgian Grisette with a light body, mellow sweetness, light spiciness, refreshingly effervescence on the tongue, and a dry finish.
The Grisette style originated in Belgium’s mining regions and was crafted as a refreshing beverage intended to satisfy workers at the end of their shifts. A light, farmhouse style ale, “Grisette,” meaning “little gray,” is believed to reference the women wearing grey frocks who traditionally served this beer to miners following a hard day’s labor. Our Grisette draws inspiration from the era of iron mining in northern Wisconsin, within the Gogebic Iron Range. Expect a light body, mellow sweetness, light spiciness, refreshingly effervescent on the tongue, and a dry finish.
