Those of us who need corrective eyewear understand the extra challenges of wintertime in the Northwoods. Coming inside on a cold, blustery day means you will be temporarily blinded by the sudden haze that fogs your glasses. When BJBC opened in January 2026, we had many customers walk through the door with glasses that had to take a moment to clear the fog before ordering their beers. We could have handed them a pint of crystal-clear West Coast IPA and it would have looked hazy to them! But we didn’t – we waited for the warmer weather to brew our first Hazy IPA. Malted oats and honey malt provide a smooth mouthfeel, while the burst of Sabro, Mosaic, and Galaxy hops hit your nose long before the tropical fruit cocktail dances on your tongue.
